It’s only been done 24 times in over 250,000 games.
The last time it happened was almost 11 years ago and before my youngest nephew and niece were born.
Only three Yankees did it before last night: Larsen, Wells, and Cone.
Now there’s four.
Domingo German added his name to the list of MLB pitchers who have thrown a perfect game.
History was made in iconic fashion at a time when both German and the team as a whole needed something to turn it all around.
It happened while I was fast asleep because of the west coast game schedule, but I’ve watched the replay at least 20 times and I’ll never forget this moment.
Number Zero is the HERO.
German did it, his name forever added to baseball immortality.
