SoulSparks: A Meditative Journaling/Writing Experience – September 22, 2024, 1:00 PM

“SoulSparks: A Meditative Journaling/Writing Experience” creates a safe space for you to connect with your inner voice in a supportive and nurturing environment. This 60-minute program begins with an acclimation activity followed by a guided meditation designed to spark the words kindling in your soul. You will write in response to a prompt that speaks to you, then those who are comfortable sharing their soul sparks are welcome to do so during optional final reflection. As a trauma-informed experience, you will be provided with invitations to meet your individual needs so you can do what is best for you in the moment.Please dress comfortably and bring your favorite notebook or journal; journals and writing utensils will be available for those without one. Personal laptops or tablets are also welcome for writing.

Relax with a drink and join local author Jill Ocone for a delightful evening! She will read short passages from her debut novel, Enduring the Waves, at 6:30 and 7:30 PM, and guests will be invited to ask questions about the novel or her
publishing journey at 7:00 PM. Jill will also be signing copies of Enduring the Waves, which will be available for purchase

Join author and Manchester Township High School veteran English teacher Jill Ocone for a behind-the-scenes look at her writing aspirations and personal journey that led to the publication of her debut novel, Enduring the Waves. She’ll share how she turned her own grief into purpose and how trusting the signs surrounding her led her to travel down an unexpected and incredible path both at home in New Jersey and abroad in Dublin, Ireland. Following the program, Jill will be available to sign copies of Enduring the Waves.
